Both my career and life have evolved over a workspan of 30 years, living and working in four very different cultures. I have spent a good number of years in MNCs and global companies, and have established and managed my own businesses. I began the journey with my first overseas role working for the New Zealand Embassy in Tokyo in 1975.

With 16 years business experience in Japan, 2 years in the Cook Islands, 13 years in New Zealand and 3 in Singapore, I have become keenly aware of the added-value, relevance and necessity for high levels of inter-personal skills, clear and honest communication, realistic goal-setting, and the awareness that leads ultimately to an individual's core.

I was born in a small town in New Zealand in the mid 1950s. From a very early age my appetite for travel and work opportunities overseas was relentless. This stems from my Scottish grandmother, who left Scotland at the age of 18, in the late 1800s, to travel on her own to New Zealand. When I was 20, I was seconded to the New Zealand Embassy in Tokyo. This began a lengthy, and at times challenging process towards accumulating a wealth of skills and exposure to different cultures, business environments and personalities.

I believe I am a versatile and articulate businesswoman with a broad range of well-rounded skills, coupled with an ability to work successfully and comfortably in a multi-cultural environment. A good sense of humor being an essential part of the jigsaw puzzle.

Singapore is my home, having obtained Permanent Residency here several years ago.
